We’d love to work with you to create research-based learning media!
The Department of Innovative Media Research and Extension (formerly known as Media Productions) produces educational, research-based games and media for a wide variety of partners. Our games, videos, apps and interactive tools have been accessed more than 108 million times since 2011.
The Learning Games Lab within our department is a development studio, a user-testing research space, and an exploratory environment for playing and evaluating games and educational tools. Our team uses a design process to create apps, games, animations, videos, interactive virtual labs and other learning tools.
Our department also provides instructional design and educational media development for NMSU's numerous statewide outreach programs in partnerships with other campus-wide, regional and national programs.
Partnership with us gives you:
Access to an award-winning Innovative Media Research and Extension team without the start-up costs.
Assistance and guidance, if needed, in writing the grant proposal.
Involvement with cutting edge media, game, and educational programs.
Freedom to focus on YOUR specialty – we share the administrative work.
A multi-state, multidisciplinary team including a Hispanic-Serving Institution.
The Innovative Media Research and Extension main office is on the NMSU main campus in Gerald Thomas Hall, room 286. The Learning Games Lab is in Gerald Thomas Hall, room 173.
