A new video is now available to support agricultural growers with their business decisions and profitability. Statewide Agricultural Forecasting for Sustainable Growth, below, can also be watched or embedded from YouTube.
NMSU’s Extension Economists have expertise in Agricultural Market Outlooks, Economic and Rural Development, Agri-Tourism and Business Entrepreneurship. Statewide Forecasting Specialist Jason Banegas says agricultural producers need up-to-date information on these topics to make sound business decisions:
"Farmers and ranchers need real-world solutions to build sustainable operations and improve their profitability in New Mexico’s unique agricultural landscape. My job is to ensure that agricultural producers have the necessary economic tools to make the best business decisions possible. Having access to timely data-driven forecasts and market reports allows them to stay ahead of trends and have access to new opportunities in the industry. These economic tools will help them improve agricultural sustainability and strengthen rural and urban economies."
Banegas, Statewide Extension Economist and Forecasting Specialist for New Mexico’s Cooperative Extension Service, in the Department of Extension Economics at New Mexico State University (NMSU), collaborated with NMSU’s Department of Innovative Media Research and Extension (IMRE) to create this video.
